Dear
Mothers' Club Members,
The MBA Mothers' Club has a NEW winter project and,
with it a few openings for volunteers. In 2006, we will publish the first
Spring Sports Program, much like the Fall Football Program, but with
highlights on every MBA Varsity Spring team. These will be sold at Track,
Baseball, Tennis, Soccer and Lacrosse home games; and advertising will
boost our profits, our fans and our boys!
The 2005, publications raised over $16,000 for MBA …you would
be shocked to know how expensive helmets, nets, buses and “sweeeeeet” jerseys
are! By publishing a program for Spring '06, followed by one for Fall
and then another for Winter sports, our advertisers will be able to purchase
packages of repeat ads …and we can earn even more money! More
importantly, with each sport season covered and every team represented,
we look forward to building encouragement and appreciation between students
and through the MBA community. (At a Lax game I will be able to read
a bit about the tennis team, see their handsome faces, and hopefully
be motivated to send some attention their way…)
TODAY, a few volunteers are needed to work from the comfort of their
own phones, using our well developed solicitations list, to secure ads
for the spring book. Most of these calls are easy as our support base
is terrific! We also need 1 representative parent from each athletic
team to liaison between the coaches and the program team about photos,
rosters and deadlines.
The work begins immediately yet will be completed before you are ready
to head out into spring spectating. Only a few meetings will be required.
If you are interested in any of these positions please hurry and call
Lisa Morgan at 791-0160.
We are truly excited at the prospect of uniting students and fans as
we recognize the value of each sport while raising new money to support
these exceptional experiences for our sons and their fans.
ROLL RED ROLL !!!

Dear MBA Mom,
The MBA Mothers Club recently created a
set of by-laws in order
to better describe the purpose and structure of this strong
organization of volunteers. You will find that a newly
established Nominating Committee consisting of the President-elect,
President, Volunteer Coordinator, and two Class Mother
Coordinators will convene in January to begin filling leadership positions
on the Executive and General Boards. Note that general
volunteer forms for the Spaghetti Supper, the Big Red Store,
and all other volunteer opportunities campus-wide will
be mailed out as usual in the spring.
Your involvement in the Mothers Club is
welcome; please consider the website Nomination
Form . If you are interested in serving in one of these
roles or if you know someone you would like to nominate
for one of these positions take a moment to fill out this
form. All forms must be returned to me no later than January
17th to be considered in the January Nominating
Committee meeting. A full slate of nominees will be presented
for a vote at the March 14, 2006 membership meeting which
