Nashville Youth Leadership Taps Two MBA Students

Oasis Center's Nashville Youth Leadership initiative is a distinctive leadership experience for area teens to build leadership skills. They recently announced the 2005-06 class which includes two MBA students, sophomores Austin Branstetter and Nathan Wade.

The class of 33 was selected this year from a pool of more than 75 applicants. They will undertake nine months of training to enhance their leadership skills. Branstetter and Wade will learn basic leadership principles, deepen their understanding of the city, and develop a greater awareness of leadership roles they can play throughout Nashville. They will graduate from the program in May and will be matched with existing leadership roles, either in their schools or on a citywide level.

Recent graduates have assumed significant leadership roles afterwards, including serving as student council presidents, Mayor's Youth Council chairman and representatives, and nonprofit board members. Congratulations to both young men on their selection.
