March 16: The 7th grade lacrosse team faced a strong Harding team yesterday and fell 2-1 to the Generals. The highlights of the game for the Big Red were the 15 saves by rookie goalie Connor Hastings and the first goal of the season for the team by Adrian Smeekins-Carey off a great assist by Jordan Herring.
March 29: The 7th grade lacrosse team faced a hard-hitting Woodland team and, despite a strong defensive performance and goals by George Curtis, Mikey Reid, and Mac Hudson, saw a 3-2 lead disappear into a 3-3 tie with :08 left in regulation. April 11: The 7th grade lacrosse team jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and defeated a quick and hard hitting Hendersonville team 3-1. Lewis Armistead, Jordan Herring, and Hayden Wieck scored for the Big Red while the "Steel Curtain" defense of Will Henry, Matthew Moynihan, and Daniel Todd once again dominated their turf.
April 13: 7th grade lacrosse lost their final home game 7-2 to USN. Goals by George Curtis and Fitz Lassing were not enough to keep the Tigers from pulling away in a very physical game. The much anticipated rematch at USN takes place on the 27th.
April 16: The Varsity Lacrosse Team defeated Christian Brothers 13-4 on Saturday in Memphis. The team was led by Ryan Burns who had 4 goals and 5 assists, Chris Cahill who had 4 goals and 1 assist, and Clay Caroland who has 2 goals. Ian Anderson, Hunter Armistead, and Tate McNeilly added one goal each. Carver Morgan had his best game in goal for the Big Red this season with 10 saves and the entire defense played a great game and held CBHS to 0 shots in the 4th Quarter. The team travels to St. Albans in Washington D.C. for the next game.
April 20: The 7th grade lacrosse team scored early and never looked back in a 7-3 win at Grassland. Charles Herron's second half goal put the game out of reach for the Generals, and ruthless defensive play by the "Steel Curtain" and goalie Conner Hastings sealed the Big Red victory.
April 23: The Varsity Lacrosse Team lost 12-4 to St. Albans on Saturday. The team traveled to Washington DC for this game and gave a strong effort but made too many mistakes that kept them from mounting a comeback. Carver Morgan played well in goal for the Big Red and saw a lot of action. The offense was led by Ryan Burns who proved he has the talent to play at any level if he continues to work hard. The defense played a much better game than the score indicates, shutting out St. Albans in the 3rd Quarter. Goals were scored by Jim Witherspoon, Jed Crumbo, Chris Cahill and Ryan Burns.
