September 7: Just as the wily Greeks did on the windy Plains of Troy, Clarksville breached MBA's walls in an epic tussle of Homeric proportions. Though witnessed by our largest group of supporters to date, this battle was not for the faint of heart. Battling with relish though spurned by the gods, the MBA team of Jeff Newman, Dylan Burroughs, Rob Campbell, Rob Broadhurst, Nicholas Concepcion and John Burch lost by two points (151-153). 'Twas the horse that did it.
September 7: Let's hear it for the Microbe boys (Tyler Paslick, Overton Thompson, Alex Snow, and Patrick Sweeney) who comfortably won their match against Brentwood Middle by a 12 shot (team total vs. team total) margin. Tyler was low man today with a 1 over 34. Attaboy Big T! and kudos to the 4 of you for the victory. We left some shots out there, but regardless, the effort was good enough for the W. Nice going men, let's see if this is the spark to jump start everyone into shooting the scores we all know you can shoot.

September 13: The Microbe Big Red contingent scored a convincing victory (22 shots better) over Harding Academy. The boys shot very consistently. The team hopes to continue building up momentum going toward the match vs. Woodlands, and the HVAC Tournament.
September 19: MBA defeated USN 144-163 at McCabe on Monday, Sept. 19th. Oct.1st at Golf Club of Tennessee.
September 27: By a slim margin of 4 strokes, Woddland Middle School edged the Big Red microbes in today's match at Spencer Creek. Overton Thompson, Tyler Paslick, Patrick Sweeney, and Tyler LeRoy combined for a total team score of 160, 4 more than Woodland's total of 156. Keeping his streak of steady and solid play Overton Thompson lead the MBA scoring with a 3 over 36. It was a fun match to watch as the kids leap-frogged back and forth, throwing birdies and solid pars at each other. This was our closest match yet and considering they have been the most dominant team our showing was respectable. Next week 5 of our players will represent the school at the HVAC Tournament. Please give the players a word of encouragement between now and then. They have plenty of talent to take the trophy!
October 1: Although the MBA golf team lost to Baylor 291-310 at Golf Club of Tennessee on Saturday, the experience will stand the team in good stead. Rob Campbell's birdie-eagle-birdie finish to shoot 75 was also a refreshing spot on a sultry day.
October 5: In a 13-team field the MBA microbes came up victorious in today's season's finale HVAC Tournament at the Links of Spencer Creek in Franklin. The MBA boys took team top honors by 4 strokes over powerhouses Woodland Middle and CPA.
