Welcome to the Montgomery Bell Academy
Archives
The mission of the school archives is to collect, identify, preserve,
and make available for research purposes the historical records of
Montgomery Bell Academy. At the present time, archival materials
are housed in the Patrick Wilson Library in the

Archives
Display Room as well as in a locked vault adjacent to the display
room.
Collections: All items in the MBA Archives are catalogued
in record groups . Included in these record groups are: historical
documents, letters, scrapbooks, memorabilia, recordings, architectural
plans of the campus, videotapes and DVD's, as well as old school
yearbooks, newspapers and literary magazines.
Accessing Materials: Due to the historical value
of MBA's archival collection, materials are held in closed storage
areas. It is thus necessary to consult Ms. Tilley or Mrs. Bramwell
for access to any items. MBA faculty interested in having students
use materials from the school archives can arrange for class visits
as well as individual research consultations.
Donations: The MBA Archives staff welcomes donations
of letters, documents, photographs, scrapbooks, memorabilia, and
other items that reflect Montgomery Bell Academy's rich history.
Hours: The archives are generally open Mon.-Fri.,
8:00-3:30 during the school year and by appointment during the summer
months. When preparing to use the archives, confirm the hours with
the librarian.
