Course Advising Tips for 2005-2006 Preregistration - History

  1. Rising Freshmen (2005-2006): Any student planning to take AP History (American or European) before graduation MUST take Ancient and Medieval as prerequisite.
  2. Art History AP may be chosen to fulfill a History requirement ONLY for students taking a SEQUENCE of Fine Arts courses.
  3. American History MUST be taken BEFORE Modern European History.
  4. U. S. Government AP is offered to both Juniors and Seniors BUT can only be taken after completion of American History AND must be followed by Comparative Gov. AP during the spring semester of the same school year.
  5. World History AP is offered to seniors ONLY and requires no specific course prerequisites, BUT must have teacher recommendation (and 88+ average) for last history course taken before the senior year.
