Montgomery Bell Academy, a day school
for boys in grades 7-12, has been educating young men in the greater
Nashville area since 1867. The school seeks to offer its students an
exemplary college preparatory experience, assisting them to become gentlemen,
scholars, athletes, and young men of wisdom and moral integrity who
will make significant contributions to society.
The campus, located on 37 acres in West Nashville, boasts an impressive
physical plant comprised of nine buildings and playing fields, augmented
by an additional eight acres of fields nearby. The school also owns
and is developing 160 acres near McMinnville.
More than bricks, mortar and fields, though, the school is a community
of caring and professional faculty, industrious and talented students,
involved and supportive parents, and loyal and committed alumni.
The philosophy of Montgomery Bell Academy is rooted in its motto, Fortitudo
per Scientiam (Strength through Knowledge).
