Annual Giving The importance of MBA's annual giving lies in the fact that it supports the current operational budget. The Annual Fund’s significance is twofold: not only does it fortify existing MBA programs, it allows for immediate disbursement of funds when unforseen opportunities arise. The Annual Fund supplies unrestricted funds for the school’s current operations–up to 14% of the school’s annual operating budget. All Annual Fund dollars are used the year in which they are received, and consequently have an immediate impact upon current programs. Not only does annual giving support faculty development, music, art, debate, library, athletics, technology, scholarships, and service projects, but it enables the school to offer financial aid to 16% of its students. The breadth and depth of an MBA education cannot be covered by tuition alone. In order to keep tuition manageable, MBA depends not only on endowment income proceeds, but on a strong Annual Fund. Without annual giving and endowment income, tuition would be 42% higher. MBA is a fine example of what philanthropy can accomplish. Your continued generosity is appreciated.
