Scott joined the Alumni and Development Office in the spring of 2001 as Director of Annual Giving and served as Assistant Director of Institutional Advancement from 2002 until 2003.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, Scott, a 1984 alumnus of MBA, entered private business. He has also held coaching positions at The Harpeth Hall School, serving as the middle school cross country and track coach, and the sixth grade basketball coach. Scott has extensive fund-raising experience, serving in multiple volunteer leadership positions for several non-profit institutions prior to his tenure at MBA.
Scott is responsible for managing and directing all alumni relations and development efforts. Scott also coaches in the Track and Field program.
Scott and his wife Anna-Gene have two children, a daughter, Ayla (4/17/93), and a son, Bates (7/15/96).

- Kate Mosley

Kate joined MBA in April 2003 as
Director of Annual Giving. While she is new to the Alumni and Development
office, she is no stranger to MBA. Kate's brother, Harvey Kirkpatrick,
is a 1976 alumnus of MBA and Kate (Kirkpatrick) served as an MBA cheerleader
in '81 and '82, and was Homecoming Queen in 1982.
A graduate of Belmont University where she received her Bachelor of Arts
in Communications with a minor in Business Administration, Kate has a
strong foundation in development. For the past 14 years, she has
served as Director of Institutional Advancement for St. Bernard Academy
where she managed/coordinated all fund-raising programs and conducted
the school's public relations, marketing and communications programs.
Her duties at MBA include, direction of all Annual Giving programs, assistance
with day to day department management, assistance with foundation grant
writing/reporting, and asistance with special fund raising projects and
events.
Kate and her husband John have three sons: Bill, Andrew and Brandon.

Todd joined the Alumni and Development
Office in January 2001. He is a 1993 alumnus of MBA and graduated from
the University of Georgia in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
Prior to working at MBA, Counter worked at McNeely Pigott & Fox Public
Relations in Nashville as an account executive. He and his wife Maggie
live in Franklin.
Counter is responsible for coordinating alumni communications and programs
as well as writing, editing, and overseeing the production of the biannual
Alumni magazine.

Carroll joined the Alumni staff in April 2004. She is a 1984 graduate of Vanderbilt University , earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Prior to working for MBA, she was an Executive Vice President for First American Bank, where she served in Marketing, Strategic Planning, Investor Relations and Corporate Contributions. Carroll is actively involved in the community, serving on the Board and Executive Committee of United Way, the Marketing Committee at Renewal House, the Mothers' Club Board at MBA, and various other positions.
Carroll and her husband, Gary, have two children, Matthew, a sophomore at MBA and Leslie, a seventh grader at Harpeth Hall.

- Gretchen Ekiss

Gretchen joined the alumni staff in April
2002. She is a 2000 graduate of Auburn University and holds a Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. After moving to Nashville in 2000, Ekiss
worked briefly for design firm Creative Works before joining Dalmatian
Press as a freelance designer. She and her husband J.W. Ekiss were recently married and live in Green Hills.
Ekiss is the graphic designer and communications assistant for the
MBA alumni office. Her duties include design of the bi-annual MBA magazine
and MBA publications.

Nina joined the alumni and development staff in Sept. 2003. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Utah where she also attended law school. Before coming to MBA, Thomas taught Retailing at Belmont University and served as a buyer for Bella Linea of Nashville and Nordstrom in San Diego. She and her husband Tom have two boys, Kevin (MBA 2007) and Cooper.
Thomas' responsibilities include copy writing for MBA advertisments, publications, and marketing materials.

Vicki came to Nashville and MBA in 1996
after living and working in the Washington, D.C. area for 26 years. New
to the education arena, Vicki spent 10 years working for the Department
of Army at the Pentagon, and the next 16 working for Department of Defense
contractors.
Vicki helps maintain the database of our alumni and is always looking
for updated information. "In addition to our database, my major role
is to help keep the office running efficiently. I try to make sure we
have everything needed to make us a more effective resource for our constituents."
Vicki and her husband Larry have three sons: Josh (MBA 2003), Justin,
and Brendan (MBA 2008).

Peggy Kirby

Assistant to the Associate Director for Development

Peggy joined the alumni and development staff in 1993. She came to MBA from Brentwood High School where she was the registrar. Kirby graduated from Vanderbilt University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She also earned her teaching certificate in secondary education. She and her husband Jim live in Brentwood and have two grown daughters, Candyce and Stephanie.

Stephen, a 1999 alumnus of MBA, joined the Alumni & Development Office in August 2003. He returned to MBA after graduating from Vanderbilt University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish. Stephen has a variety of responsibilities in the Alumni Office, including organizing alumni events throughout the country and assisting with the Annual Fund Campaign. In addition, he teaches one Spanish II class and serves as an assistant coach on the varsity basketball team. Stephen is an avid fly fisherman in his spare time.
